Twenty-one months three weeks

Hello world!

This week I came downstairs in the morning and there was a really big sock with toys in it on our fireplace. I took out all the toys, and then I took out an orange at the very bottom. It was so much fun to take everything out. Then I took out all the things from under the sparkly tree in the living room. My mama and dad took the paper off them. I collected all the paper and boxes and things. That was really fun too.

I got to eat two pieces of chocolate, plus some beef jerky and a cracker. For dinner I ate lots and lots of pork and vegetables and potatoes and gravy. And then I ate a huge Christmas pudding. I ate it last year too; it tastes yummy.

When it's time to eat I have a hard time sitting still long enough to finish. I have to get out and run around! My dad keeps trying to give me another bite, even when I don't want it. Sometimes when he gets me out of my chair, I run back to him for one more bite, though. Sometimes I pretend I want another bite, but then I take it out of my mouth and give it to the dog.

Love,

Franklin

Twenty-one months two weeks

Hello world!

I get so excited when my dad comes home. I follow him everywhere, upstairs and downstairs. I love my dad.

I went to the library with my mama and we read all the books there. I know where the books I like are. I pick one out and bring it to my mama and we sit down and read it. When we're done, I take it back and get another one. I like to take books home too, but I don't like giving them to the librarian.

I put my own mittens on. They have a string through my coat so I don't lose them. I like to put my thumbs in the thumb holes. I put my socks on, too. I put them on my toe and my mama pulls them up my foot.

My best word is "off." I always tell my mama and dad to turn off the light and radio before we leave the room. If my dad leaves his computer on, I remind him.

I had steak for dinner last night. I love steak! I wanted lots more, but my mama gave the rest to the doggy. It was the chewy bit, but I wanted to eat it--I got so upset I even tried to get it out of the dog dish. I can't believe my mama would give my steak to the dog!

Franklin

Twenty-one months one week

Hello world!

When it was time to take the library books back, my mama put my library book in the bag. I got so upset; I didn't want to take it back! She let me have it and I put it back on the shelf. It's the best book ever: it's called Things that Move. I especially like the cement mixer truck and the fire engine.

My mama made me a new warm cover for my stroller. It buttons up and covers my legs, and I stick my hands inside. Nice and toasty.

I still like to ride in my sling for our dog walk. My mama reminds me to stick my hands inside that, too. We see other doggies when we walk, and I say "woof" to them. Then our doggy runs past and I laugh so hard.

In the bath, I wash all by myself. My dad says "wash your neck" and I wash it. I wash my ears, eyes, tummy, chin, hair, feet, everything. After my bath I brush my own teeth, too.

Franklin

Twenty months five weeks

Hello world!

I can make sentences now. I said to my dad and mama, "woo-woo-woo all gone." I said it because the microwave finished.

I showed my dad where the dog was in the book. I took his finger and pointed with it. I like dogs and I like books. I especially like books about dogs.

I have a towel with a duck head on the hood. My dad makes it quack when he gets it out at bath time. I put my hand in it and quack too. It's funny. I do it when I help my mama wash it in the laundry.

Sometimes when it's bed time, I tell my dad I need the toilet. Sometimes I use it four or five times before I'm done. That means I get to stay up a little bit later. But then one time I forgot to use it, and once I was in bed I realized I really really needed to! I had to shout, but luckily my dad knew exactly what I needed.

Love,

Franklin
